  • History and Evolution of Outcomes­Based Accreditation in ACCE
  • Implementation Schedule for Outcomes­Based Standards
  • What Programs Need to Know to Prepare a Self­Study, and to Prepare for an Accreditation Visiting Team
  • Firsthand Experience. The University of Florida is currently preparing for an Accreditation Visit based on the Outcomes­Based Standards; Dr. Chini will speak from firsthand experience regarding the challenges of preparing the Self­Study, and preparing for the visit.

 

This pre-conference workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Abdol Chini.

Dr. Abdol Chini

Dr. Chini is a Holland professor of Construction Management and Past Director of M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management at the University of Florida.  He is a registered professional engineer and his work experience includes quality control manager and project manager for several construction projects in Washington DC metropolitan area. He is Chairman of the American Council for Construction Education Standards Committee. Dr. Chini is the Coordinator of Working Commission 115 (Construction Materials Stewardship) of International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB) and served as the Departmental Academic Advisor for Department of Building and Real Estate at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2006 to 2012.  He has edited three books, has published more than 130 papers and has made numerous national and international presentations.  He was the recipient of the 2003 UF Research Foundation Professorship.
